Edwin Nieuwenhuyse (born 1969) is broadly curious and reads his way into the most varied subjects. He likes to take a light-footed approach to the serious side of life and looks for methods and tools to make living better. He publishes books that pass on big ideas in compact form, for people who genuinely want to make something of it.
Edwin studied Electrical Engineering and began his career at the IT company CMG, where he worked as a consultant and team manager. The many training courses he took there sparked a lasting love of personal development.
That career then took him around the world: nine years as an international manager at Sony, and ten years in commercial and technical director roles in the superyacht industry.
Today he advises companies as a management consultant, and as a Heroic Coach he passes on his love of practical wisdom directly to others.
Outside work, music is never far away: for years he stood behind the decks as a DJ at weddings and parties. For the past few years he has been making his own music. He has not released any of it yet, because he is uncertain about the quality – perhaps he should read this book again himself and do the exercises.
